The film I decided on watching was 'Gone Girl' by David Fincher. I watched the first 2 minutes and 11 seconds of the film and analysed the opening scenes. The film stars Ben Affleck and Rosamund Pike.
beginning of 'Gone Girl', there are 2 companies: 20th Century Fox and Regency Enterprises. The 20th Century Fox music does not play but instead creepy, slow-paced music plays over the top of the two appearances of the logos, names of the company and the director's name before the screen fades into a close up shot of the back of Pike's head at 28 seconds. Narration from Affleck about his "wife".
The screen fades to black at 50 seconds and the narration finishes before fading into main starring roles: Affleck and Pike.
This then fades into an establishing shot of the sunset and the title quickly fades in then back out again.

After this, we see quick, fast-paced jump cuts between close ups and long shots of a somewhat scruffy-looking town. During these shots, a new credit appears on the shot for example, other starring roles, casting by, sound design by etc. The appearance of the town juxtapose's with the street that the Dunne's live on, suggesting a "perfect lifestyle".
